National Recruitment Agency (NRA) Announced: Today Finance Minister in her Budget Speech proposed setting up of a National Recruitment Agency(NRA) for Government Jobs / Sarkari Naukri / Sarkari Jobs . With unemployment rate at an all-time high, Government is planning to fight this through Government Jobs route by offering more Sarkari Jobs in the coming years. To tackle this increasing number of expected Government Jobs in the near future, the newly proposed National Recruitment Agency will play a vital role in streamlining hiring and recruitment process.
National Recruitment Agency or NRA may play an important role in handling the government jobs Recruitment. NRA would work as an independent body that would be set up to conduct computer based Common Eligibility Test(CET) for recruitment to non-gazetted posts. In terms of types of jobs, this includes Group B, Group C and Group D Sarkari jobs. Proposed NRA is expected to conduct a CET or Common Eligibility Test, the score of which may be used instead of multiple graduate level examinations conducted by SSCs (Staff Selection Commission) and PCSs (Provincial Civil Service) . Railway Group D examinations may also be conducted by NRA in future.
Why National Recruitment Agency ?
“In the current procedure candidates have to appear for multiple examinations conducted by multiple departments at different points of time for similar posts. This places massive burden on young aspirants .To relieve the difficulty so faced, it is proposed to set up a National Recruitment Agency (NRA) as an independent, professional specialized organisation to conduct the computer based online common eligibility(CET) test for recruitment of all non gazetted posts,” the finance minister said.
National Recruitment Agency – Key Duties / Responsibilities
The National Recruitment Agency (NRA) will be an independent authority something like NTA / National Testing Agency. The NRA will be assigned the task of holding computer based Common Eligibility Test (CET) for recruitment of non-gazetted posts. The NRA is expected to eliminate the need for multiple testing system for recruitment to various non-gazetted Sarkari Jobs. The NRA will develop a fast recruitment procedure and offer easy access to Government Jobs to the aspirants.
NRA only for Non-Gazetted Posts
Government Job aspirants should keep in mind is that the newly proposed National Recruitment Agency (NRA) will only work for hiring of non-gazetted posts. Usually, Group B, Group C and Group D Sarkari jobs fall under the category of Non-Gazetted Government Job/ Sarkari Naukri. In simple terms, Non-Gazetted Posts are the Sarkari Jobs that do not have the authority to issue an official stamp on behalf of the Government of India.
National Recruitment Agency for Which Jobs?
Non-Gazetted Posts, SSC ( Staff Selection Commission) and PCSs (Provincial Civil Service) is a state level civil service as well as Railways hold several different examinations to screen applicants for Non-Gazetted Government Posts.
